Volleyball - During this activity we will work on ball handling and skills.
There will be conditioning days throughout the week. Fundamentals are a key will playing volleyball. This class
will not be competitive, it will just focus on skills. All equipmant will be provided.
Tennis - This class will be a little more competitive. Skills will be involved,
but there will be many matches played. Your own racquet will be required.
Flag Football - This class was designed to help get your hands on the ball and
practice catching and throwing. This will be a fun way of playing football with no contact allowed.
Bowling - There will be a small fee of $30.00, due to use of the bowling alley.
This will not be a competitive class, just practiceing skills.
Badminton - Starting out we will have the students learn the basics of the game
and then teach each other the game of Badminton. Students will pair up and teach the sport. Then, we will have
a competetion toward the end of the semester.
Basketball - Like the other sports we will teach the basic of the class.
Ball control, passing, dribbling, foot work and shooting will all take place. The equipment will be provided daily for
the students. There will be a 7 on 7 tournament the last week of school.
Soccer - Shin guards will be required for the class. Fundamentals will
be taught and executed. Skills will take up most of the class rather than playing. There will be plenty of games
toward the end of the semester.
Hiking - We will work on endurance and distance walking. We will travel around
to work on hills and trails. At the end of the class we will go on a camping trip to spend three days hiking around
a state park.
Outdoor Adventure Sports - This class will meet everyday outside.
We will go hiking, canoeing, swimming, climbing and there will be many other interesting opportunities.
Yoga, Tae-bo, and Pilates - This class will do different
tapes daily and learn different techniques for each. It will also involve step aerobics. This class will be great
for young lady's who want to stay in shape.
